Hot pot or shabu shabu! I love soup especially spicy broths but it can get expensive at restaurants, so I don’t get it that often.

Are you an owl or a lark; i.e., do you prefer staying up late or waking up early in the morning?

I am definitely an owl in the sense that I naturally stay up late and don’t like waking up early in the morning. I feel more productive if I wake up early, so I would like to become a lark at some point.

What animal do you believe most closely matches your personality and why?

I believe my personality resembles a giraffe because they are generally gentle and easy-going animals that like traveling and eating. At the same time, they enjoy their rest and can be social when they want to be in nature!

• After an especially challenging day at one of my previous employers, my supervisor said at the closing shift “Erik, it’s days like today that you need to just go home, pet your cat, tell your wife you love her, grab a drink, and just leave the work here”. It really put things into perspective about the importance of having a firm line between my work life and home life, I feel that I have been more at peace when I remember this approach.

What is one important skill every person should have?

• As someone who has worked on both cars and motorcycles, I’m a firm believer that any who drives needs to know the basic mechanics of a vehicle. At the very least to avoid getting scammed at the mechanics for a $75 cabin air filter change!!

If you had a time machine, what point in the past or future would you visit?

• I’d want to travel to the early 80’s and invest in Apple, or to 2019 and invest in Bitcoin, or even to early 2023 to invest in Nvidia, any choice would be a great ROI!
