This loop, also referred to as a feedback process, focuses on goal directed action and evaluation

Dewey’s model; Impulse -> Observe -> Knowledge -> Judgement. Similar to the lewinian model, however instead of being goal directed, Dewey proposed that it should not be goal directed, rather the loop should be repeated until the learner feels they have reached a point where their question has been answered. Dewey believed that this would allow the learner to focus wholly on the experience without worrying about the goal prematurely

References Piaget’s constructivist theory which agrees that the learner should be involved in the learning process

Believes that it is better to identify and challenge misconceptions through Experiential learning as it enables children to disprove their own theories rather than simply being told they’re wrong

Believes it is possible to integrate into schools, however Kolb feels that it should be utilised to compliment the current teaching method, instead of completely replacing it
