Light flashes towards my face

The flash makes my skin show

The very skin I need to replace

The feeling of it all

Sinking deep inside

Makes my whole body fall

And feel like I have died

I scratch through the surface

Of my own sinking heart

To find my own purpose

And no longer tear apart

Leave my mind, darkness

They now see me as a ruby

Confused

Agony

By people who love me

And who care for me

You may know the title to my story

But not how hard I worked writing it

I am my name 

So don’t say you know my name

Before you know my story

It's fun and exciting,

dark and terrifying,

adventurous, but also dangerous.

You might enjoy what you see, 

the choices you make,

the things you take, 

the lives you create. 

But you'll never know what's in store,

until you fight to the finish,

whether you're in it to win it, 

the game will end.

A standard we are led to believe is best
Based on others achievements
Why not instead of aiming for a standard set by someone else
We live as sheep
Waiting for the commands of the shepherd
Why not instead of aiming for that bar
And following blindly the orders of a shepherd
We pave our own path
Set our own bar
And be our own shepherd
