1. Humanizing takes real effort—don’t underestimate the time it takes.
It’s more than just adding a video or a pretty homepage—it’s about showing up as a human being and building connection. Be patient with yourself as you learn new tools and rethink your teaching style.

2. Your presence matters more than perfection.
Students want to know you, not a polished version of you. Show your face, your quirks, your voice. It's okay to be casual and real—that’s what builds trust.

3. Engagement is contagious.
The more excited and connected you are, the more your students will be too. When you model curiosity and care, they’ll rise to meet you.

4. Don’t go it alone—be inspired by your peers.
One of the best parts of this course was seeing how others bring humanity to their classrooms. Borrow ideas, ask for help, and share your wins (and flops!).

Humanizing can have a strong positive effect in your class, in the way that students get involved. Like someone here said it already, humanizing is simple, but it is not easy. It requires some seemingly small additions and structural changes, but it needs to be genuine and honest channels that facilitate the strengthening of the community within your class
