A thesis serves as the structure and helps carry the message of an essay. It goes without saying, that a thesis is the backbone of the essay. A good singer is a person that can do give their own message while also helping support other singers. Like a good thesis, Whitney acts as a backbone to other singers, as a lot of them rely on the foundation she set during her career. They base their fashion of singing off of her, or off of her songs, she provides the perfect support along with having the best information to give out.

This thesis is what happens when you try to put out mediocre information, or in this case, songs, as fast as possible. It fails to hold up or support any information or singer alike. Not a lot can rely on this thesis without failing to bring the main message of the essay, it just keeps repeating the same prompt over and over again.

4 Pt- Beyonce Knowles

Where do you begin with the Beyonce? She does it all. Take elegance, political awareness, fierceness, independence, and humility, combine all of these factors, and you have the perfect essay any reader would love. Beyonce's music all relates back to the woman she is as she sheds light on the important issues she stands like women empowerment, self-love, and racism with the use of charged words and bold statements. She supports her strong beliefs through her use of hard-hitting vocals and lyricism. Just like Beyonce, the essay would be as close to perfect as it gets. With rhetorical devices, analysis, and direct quotes that fully advance the thesis, this evidence would be clear and concise without the reader needing to question anything.

This singer is very good, you enjoy listening to her, you will even sometimes seek her out over some others. Like this songstress, essays that score a 2 in this section will make a bit of textual evidence along with commentary, but it isn't consistent at all. This singer/essay will occasionally make some good songs/points, but it isn't consistent with its results a lot of the time. Overall, it's a good singer to start off with.

1 Pt- Taylor Swift

This essay will be, for a lack of better words, bleh. Sure, Taylor Swift might be a beautiful, long-legged blonde, but with a voice that's average at best and robotic sounding melodies lacking depth, you are getting nowhere fast. Taylor Swift makes teeny-bopper music at the age of 29. Her lyrics are repetitive and vague as she provides little to no real commentary on anything. Just like an essay with a piece of evidence and no analysis, Taylor stands for nothing and this essay wouldn't support one thesis in this world.

When you regurgitate everything else on the market- combine that with a mediocre voice and little talent while giving minimal effort to your work, 0 points is what you get with Katy Perry. Katy lacks heart and soul in all of her works, leaving a vibe of emptiness and a strange cold feeling, similar to an essay with almost zero actual evidence and thought put into it. A dead essay can be comparable to this singer, because both lack a heart and both lack any meaning.

1 Pt- Aretha Franklin

Like a beautiful song bird, Aretha Franklin's music entrances and inspires American ears.

Music with a background, music from a civil rights activist, and music so good- it was enough to indict her (the first woman) into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. Just like sophistication in an essay, the tone and the energy of Aretha’s sophistication will get you intrigued with the story it tells. Her maturity and ability to paint imagery and set the bar so high sets her apart from so many cookie cutter female singers.

0 Pt- Britney Spears

Unlike Aretha Franklin, Britney Spears leaves a sad impression on any listener with any taste or decent hearing whatsoever. A cheap voice, paired with cheap raunchy dance moves and autotune, Britney Spears is almost the complete opposite of Aretha. After unfortunate public breakdowns, Britney Spears' already low levels of sophistication (“I'm a slave for you”) were forgotten. Much like an essay deserving of no sophistication point, her content is messy, boring, simplified, and not at the rigorous standard sophistication expects. Britney’s music fails to voice any opinion on real issues or topics and evidently lack depth.

Mariah Carey has all the correct assets that form an icon. Beauty, vocal range, and the ability to perform. She is a go-to classic that you simply cannot go wrong with. Her music is timeless, and although she does lack some credibility due to her inability to perform nowadays, you cannot discredit her incredible past achievements. Evidence comparable to Mariah will support your thesis, however might be uneven or inconsistent- a lot like Mariah's career.
