Vern married and had four children. Teddy attempted to join the army but was rejected due to his poor eyesight. He served some jail time and performed odd jobs around Castle Rock. Chris managed to stay in school with Gordie and went to college to become a lawyer. However, he reveals that he was stabbed and killed when he tried to break up a fight.
