What Ontario DOESN'T provide is professional devo for how to incorporate enviro ed in the various subjects, save for a short document with a few examples. It is an AQ, but that costs money, takes time, etc. Hard to mandate something and not provide training for it... I could go on for pages about this so just ask.

pp 19-51 of the Final Report provide the declaration and recommendations. Have students create a graphic organizer that shows something important, beyond the recommendations. e.g. Illustrate the relationships between the role(s)/responsibilities of teachers, the state and NGOs, as per the Declaration. It would be nice to compare and contrast this with what is currently being practiced in one's own region of the world, e.g. Ontario outlines the roles of teachers and Boards in EE, but not as much the province, and not NGOs.... NOTE: The Declaration also talks about developing countries, and how they differ from/are the same as other UNESCO countries. That's an interesting topic, as well, and can be linked to SIDS perhaps.
