When I think of fantasy, or mystery, I am reminded of unknown worlds; worlds beyond our reality of understanding. These worlds are unable to be explained, or are usually unrealistic to our world, however are beautiful in their own way. Fantasy makes me think of things that bring joy, things that are nostalgic or colourful, things that are harmless, happy endings. This image reflects my thoughts on fantasy and mystery as it evokes a sense of happiness, however the world is obviously not something we'd see in our own, so we are asked to consider the 'Why' and the 'How' of the image, as we often do with the mystery genre.

When i think about fantasy, i think about lots of imaginative things. Like dragons, Unicorns, ect. I think this image best describes fantasy because in this image it shows it being taken in the trees, showing that there is another world out there and not just this one we live in.

When I think about mystery I think about mystery cases which may include murder, theft or other cases. It also makes me think about people trying to solve the case. All of this makes me think about the film ‘Scream’. This movie is about like a killer in town which is called a ghost face and a team of people who have experienced this try to figure out who it is.

When I think of fantasy, I imagine everyone has their own world filled with princesses, ancient spells and supernatural places. Fantasy is involved in this picture as there is more than one world and it relates to Inside Out where Riley has many worlds like Goofball Island. This image reflects that everyone has more than 1 world inside using their imagination. Furthermore, it makes me feel that it involves Fantasy with the different images inside the worlds.

When I think of the genre ‘Fantasy’, I immediately imagine a fairytale-like setting, with dragons and mythical creatures and princesses or princes. I believe that old, unexplored, olden-type settings in mythical worlds are extremely common in the fantasy genre, as we know that in the present, our reactions to mythical creatures would be much different than in the past. I also think these types of settings provide a lot of aesthetic value, and makes authors able to add things from old folklore, like witches and wizards, elves, fairies, and more.

Harry Potter reflects the idea of fantasy because they have dragons, magic, wizards, witches, flying cars, brooms and make believe creatures. Fantasy is supposed to show a world different to our world and in the picture it shows a flying car and dragons which don’t exist in our world. Fantasy illustrates a sense of things we don’t have currently and fantasy movies use a lot of make believe.

When I think of mystery I think of a detective or a dark and foggy place. Mystery makes it me think of something that needs to be found out about like a murder case or a crime. Mystery is some that is beyond understanding or impossible to explain.

When I think of the genre “mystery” I think of the Spider-Man that lives in 1943 in the movie “Into The Spider Verse”. The reason I think of him is because he is dressed in black and white (the theme for the olden day mystery) with a black trench coat and black fedora (like how the detectives used to dress in the olden days). He also sounds like a olden day detective.

When I think of fantasy, what comes to mind is something surreal, a subject which cannot exist in the reality we know. Something that does not exist, and is impossible and strange, yet still captivating in a unique way. The idea of fantasy is a reminder that some things are not within the strict limits and rules of our world. A world that exists with missing rules, rules that limit the reality we exist in, this is what I think of when I hear the word fantasy.

Whenever I think about ‘Into the Pit’ and the first short story of it. This is because the story speaks about a young boy in summer wanting to explore and it makes me wonder what happened to the father and how everyone thought Springbonnie was his father who actually was in the pit. Another thing I was wondering is how whenever he went into the pit, he teleported to another universe set in 1985 and met his father. Which makes this a mystery story as there’s many theories on how this happened.

I think this movie represents unexplained because it’s very suspenseful. It doesn’t end with an actual answer to the ‘problem’ instead it ends on a cliffhanger with no answer. The ‘situation’ in the movie keeps the views attached because of how weird it is. The movie has multiple scenes that are unexplainable.

When i think about fantasy i think about an unknown world with a story of wonders and imagination. It is a story that you want to read more into because of the suspense that there is possibly another world to see or another path of their life. when I think about mystery I thought about the show Stranger Things(the best show no debat). A lot of strange things happen and there is a lot of creatures that are very strange, examle: the demogorgon. There is a world under hawkins called the upside down. The monsters that invaded hawkins came from the upside. The world is mysterious and very very very scary😱.

Whenever I watch this movie it always reminds me of the unexplained. Because when they produced the film they didn’t just show what the mystery was they had to put all of the pieces of evidence together to realise that the murder had actually been done by an inside job. The suspense was so intense when trying to figure out who had murder’d the man .
