My name is John Ribb Quiroga, a 22-year-old who hails from the vibrant community of Apalan, Tuburan. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Machine Shop in Cebu Technological University-Tuburan Campus, Cebu, a field that resonates with my passion for precision, creativity, and innovation. Growing up in a family of five siblings, I’ve learned the values of teamwork, resilience, and the importance of sharing responsibilities. My upbringing has shaped me into a person who values family, community, and hard work.

In my free time, you can often find me on the basketball court, where I channel my energy and love for the sport. Basketball is not just a game for me—it’s a way to connect with friends, relieve stress, and develop skills like strategy and discipline that also apply to my studies and personal growth.

I’m driven by a desire to excel academically and build a career where I can create solutions and contribute meaningfully to the world around me. Whether it’s on the court, in the classroom, or at home with my siblings, I strive to give my best in all I do. My biggest fear in life is the idea of losing my parents. They have been my pillars of strength, guiding me through every challenge and celebrating every milestone I achieve. The thought of a life without them feels overwhelming and unimaginable because they are not just my parents—they are my mentors, my confidants, and my source of unconditional love. They have sacrificed so much to ensure my siblings and I have a better future, and their presence is a constant reminder of what it means to love selflessly.

Losing them would mean losing the foundation that has kept me grounded and resilient. It’s not just their guidance I would miss, but also the warmth of their hugs, the wisdom in their words, and the simple joy of seeing them proud of my achievements. This fear motivates me to cherish every moment I have with them, to express my love and gratitude while I still can.

Though this fear can be heavy, it reminds me to live each day with purpose and to make the most of the time we have together. Their influence will always remain in my heart, guiding me even when they are no longer physically here.
