❏ In what ways have you met the task demands? (Keywords : healthy, manipulative skills)

My bread was fluffy and looked aesthetically pleasing (brown enough). My proofing was successful and I had used the healthier alternatives to make my bread. Furthermore, I think that my plating made a plain-looking bread look quite interesting :)

❏ Reflect on the practical test session

❏ Were you able to manage time?

My partner and I were organised and finished our clean up before the extra time was given. Things had gone according to plan and there was not a specific area that took up too much time.

❏ Did you face difficulties? How did you overcome them?

I used an oven that I was worried was not working well because my bread was baking slowly. Hence, I used what I had learnt from my experiment session and changed the settings of the oven such that it baked my bread faster.

❏ How would you have done it differently?

I would not have done it differently as I am very satisfied with the process and end result :D

❏ Reflect on the food blogging process

❏ How useful were the nutritional tools?

The nutritional tools were helpful in helping me understand the difference between unhealthy options and healthy options. I could identify the ingredients that were considered unhealthy and cut down on those.

❏ How manageable were the manipulative skills for you?

The manipulative skills were manageable and was not very stressful.

How purposeful were the experimentation lessons in helping you come up with your final creation?

The experimentation lesson helped me to get feedback from the teacher and experience making the bread in school which is different from at home. It was definitely good to let us explore on our own and try things out.

1) What did you do well? (time management, organisation of work, table management, etc)

I did well in terms of time management and organisation of work as I was clear in my steps and I could carry them out smoothly. Furthermore, my workspace was neat most of the time.

2) What are 2 areas you can improve on and why?

I can improve on the colour of my bread as it needs to be a bit more brown for the colour to pop out. I can also change the bowl that I put my garlic butter in as the bowl I chose was not the best option.

3) Evaluate the outcome of your product (colour, texture and taste)

I think that the taste was well balanced in all aspects and the texture showed the fluffiness of the bread. However, I think that the bread could have been more brown.

4) How has the experiment today helped with your decision making for the choice of the final dish for the practical ?

I will continue making the bread and garlic dip for the practical but I will consider adding half an egg and milk powder into my bread to make it fluffier. I will also change the presentation a little bit to make it look nicer.

1. Music can motivate and bond people. Do you agree?
I learnt that music can have different impacts on people in the aspect of motivation. Some songs make the person more cheerful and positive while others feel more empowering. Music is extremely important in motivation.
With reference to "Drunken Sailor" and "Do you Hear the People Sing", how do the following music elements create that effect?

Timbre/Dynamics/Others
Timbre - tone colour
Dynamics - growth of sound volume

Compare the usage between the 2 pieces.

Tonality- Major (happy-ish)
Minor (sad-ish)
Chromatic/Pentatonic/Whole tone/Modes

Beat- Number of counts in a bar

Rhythm - small/large subdivisions (even or uneven)

Tempo- fast slow, changing

Structure -___________________

2. What is a song that you like that motivates you? How does the music make you feel that way?
I like the song "Rise Up" as I think that it is a very motivating song. It teaches me that no matter how broken one can be, they will always rise up. I think that the messages inspires me and I myself do face many challenges and feel hopeless sometimes. However, listening to the song reassures me that everything will be fine.

3. How is expression through singing different from instrumental music ?
I think that lyrics play a part in expression. The instrumental may have a certain vibe or feel to it that is inspiring but the lyrics are what make it even more meaningful. With different lyrics, different stories can be told and expressed.

4. Although I could not get some chords right, I did not give up on the guitar simply because it was tough to play
- I learnt that music can have different impacts on people in the aspect of motivation. Some songs make the person more cheerful and positive while others feel more empowering. Music is extremely important in motivation.
