Watching these movies and reading these comics as a kid, I didn't see race at all. I would only see good guys fighting bad guys. Of course I realize the meaning of the story now, but this rang home Coate's message for me. If kids can't decipher/understand the message then what is the point of having it. All thought it's not only kids watching this movie, a lot of them are. And I think they should be able to understand and ponder the message by themselves. 8. He has been a journalist for several publications including the Washington Paper, The Philadelphia weekly, and Time magazine.

This affected his thoughts on the film because he wants to share the same thoughts his dad shared with him, with his son.
