I felt a piercing pain surge through my body, as I tumbled to the ground. He slowly creeped to my helpless body, gripping his knife with a trembling hand. I hauled my weak body to the shed, limping with as much speed as my legs could handle. Laughing with pleasure, the monster strutted over, twirling the dagger in his hand. As the figure creeps the knife to my heart, I hear a deep ringing, screaming in my ear, “Say hello to Satan for me!”.

As my life flashed before my eyes, I gripped the dagger and slowly twisted it around his hand. Slowly it pierces through, and blood flows out like a rushing river. As he brought it down again, I began to remember my past. As time slowed, I glimpsed a small shadow behind this monster, and felt my torso being grabbed by a wrinkled hand. But the grip softened, and I managed to turn around enough to see the old man who had saved me being stabbed through the brain. He died before he hit the floor. As my eyelids started to feel heavier, everything went black.

The monster was never seen again.
