Every one of us has a certain vision and / or expectation of what Solvery should be. Let‘s make them visible.

Climate Calculator

What: Make decision making easy by showing impact on climate. User can toggle different aspects like CO2, waste, animal rights, human rights to give them more or less weight.
Why: Input for Climate Coach
Current examples and what I don‘t like about them: Rome2Rio (based only on travel means); EcoTest (only product testing, no travels, furniture, household appliances).
User story: I want to decide whether to do dishes by hand or to buy a dish washer. I can find info on water consumption easily online, but this does not include the production of the machine or its ecological foot print. It would be cool if I could compare the lifetime consumption/waste of detergents at the same time.

Do not worry about Target Groups. Start with yourself: why would you utilise Solvery? What kind of problem would it solve for you? What would make it attractive compared to other methods or resources that you currently use?
Do not worry about realisation. Focus on „What“ and „Why“!

What: App/Website to address 3 obstacles that prevent people from taking climate action:
1. lack of time
2. lack of energy/mental space
3. overwhelm (climate crisis is too big, I can't do anything)
Tabs:
1. facebook style dashboard, timelines of friends' activities/photos
2. personal goals (tree structure)
- next level only unlocks when you reach your first goal (gamification)
- climate karma points
- meditation modules etc to deal with climate grief, climate anxiety
3. maps with different layers: share your activites if you want, locate goals close to you, share foraging locations, facilitate swaps
4. metrics eg CO2 saved
Why: Give people ideas of how to start, keep them motivated
Current examples and what I don‘t like about them: One Million Women (only for women, not connectable to other social networks, poor design lacks accountability, not interactive enough, lacks incentives)
Good examples: Duo Lingo (aggressive accountability, tree structures)
Spotify Wrapped (bragging rights, graphic to share on facebook)
Insert photo or sketch:

Local activities map

What: Platform to create map of local initiatives/activities
Why: Easy access for people who like to join forces locally. Increased efficiency and effectiveness through synergies. Increased visibility creates followers, local solutions can be copied and spread globally
Current examples and what I don‘t like about them: Campact demo Maps (only political initiatives, not real practices); Corona map (shows Hotspots with data but no deeper level locally); Exchange Circles (focused on tools or chores only, not climate)
User story: I put up my own solar panel but do not know who else does so we can generate a grid and help each other with getting funds, coordinating maintenance etc. Having a local map would help to get in touch.
