The Shang Dynasty lasted from 1700 to 1122 BCE. In the Shang Dynasty, most of the population were farmers. People also worshiped gods and honored their ancestors. The Shang Dynasty was also the first dynasty to create cities in China!

Zhou Dynasty: 1045 - 256 BCE

The Zhou Dynasty lasted from 1045 to 256 BCE and was the longest dynasty in China ever! The Mandate of Heaven was also developed in the Zhou Dynasty. The Mandate of Heaven is the belief that the gods chose a person who was kinda and fair to rule. If the person stopped being kind and fair, someone else would be appointed king.

WARRING STATES PERIOD: 700 - 221 BCE

The Warring States Period lasted from 700 to 221 BCE. In this period, there was a civil war which means China was fighting against China.

Confucianism and Daoism Developed: 500 BCE

Confucianism and Daoism were developed in 500 BCE. Confucius was the person who created the beliefs of Confucianism. Confucianism is a system of beliefs that revolve around respect and love for others. It also means that you should treat others the way you want to be treated, also known as the golden rule of Confucianism. Daoism revolves around being one with the universe and finding unity with it.
