We all know people who are in full control of their emotions. They're calm in a crisis, and they make decisions sensitively, however stressful the situation. We also know people who can read the emotions of others. They understand what to say to make people feel better, and they know how to inspire them to take action. People like this have high emotional intelligence. I think my emotional intelligence is...OK. I have good relationships with some of my friends, but others may be more difficult to work with. I definitely have self-awareness, motivation and empathy, but sometimes I do not have self-regulation and social skills.

Some weeks ago I didn't even know what emotional intelligence was. Now I know how imprtant it is for someone to be emotionally intelligent. Believe it or not, emotions are stronger than you think and being able to understand and control them is something that will help you to handle hard situations. I think that my EQ isn't so high. Me and my emotions are like enemies. I'm fighting them and they are fighting back. I'm trying to beat them. I'm trying not to be at their mercy. The people who have high emotional itelligence should use it right. Use it to your advantage and only for your own good. Help the others and make them feel better.
Respect and embrace your emotions!!!

Having a high Emotional Intelligence is really good, but there is a dark side of EQ when people use their skills as a weapon. They manipulate others because of their psychological condition. They make people do things that they would never even think to do on their own. Lots of people have hurt themselves or even give an end to their lives because they get stressed and anxious. they fall into depression and finally they can not control their emotions and quit fighting.
So people should learn EI and avoid that terrible and dark situation.

Emotional intelligence is divided into categories the most well-known categories are the following.

1.Self-awareness. The ability to recognize an emotion as it “happens” is the key to your EQ.

Developing self-awareness requires tuning in to your true feelings. If you evaluate your

emotions , you can manage them. The major elements of self-awareness are:

a) Emotional awareness. Your ability to recognize your own emotions and their effects.

b) Self-confidence. Sureness about your self-worth and capabilities.

2.Empathy. The ability to recognize how people feel is important to succeed in your life and

career. The more skillful you are at discerning the feelings behind others’ signals the better

you can control the signals you send them. An empathetic person excels at:

a) Service orientation. Anticipating, recognizing and meeting clients’ needs.

b) Developing others. Sensing what others need to progress and bolstering their abilities.

c) Leveraging diversity. Cultivating opportunities through diverse people.

d) Political awareness. Reading a group’s emotional currents and power relationships.

e) Understanding others. Discerning the feelings behind the needs and wants of others.

3. Motivation. To motivate yourself for any achievement requires clear goals and a positive

attitude. Although you may have a predisposition to either a positive or a negative attitude,

you can with effort and practice learn to think more positively. If you catch negative thoughts

as they occur, you can reframe them in more positive terms — which will help you achieve

your goals. Motivation is made up of:

a) Achievement drive. Your constant striving to improve or to meet a standard of

excellence.

b) Commitment. Aligning with the goals of the group or organization.

c) Initiative. Readying yourself to act on opportunities.

d) Optimism. Pursuing goals persistently despite obstacles and setbacks.

They are better than I thought they’d be and I like them.

Through these lessons I learnt how to control my feelings and be more confident. I also feel I empathize more, I am less stressed and I got to know myself better. Personally the most important thing I now know is that people with high level of emotional intelligence can ‘use’ you for both good and bad purposes. For example Adolph Hitler was one of them. He used his power and EI level to manipulate people and make them think that they were the best of all.

In the past I've heard a lot about emotional intelligence but I never really thought about what it was and what it really did but thanks to Miss Maria I have learnt a lot more about it and I seem to be a more knowledgeable human being. Even though having high EI is good on some occasions, on other occasions it can be a very bad thing. The reason is that some people that do have high Emotional Intelligence use their intelligence as their Ruling Machine. What I mean by that is that they use other people into doing what they like. Another word for ruling machine is Toxicity and Emotional Weapon. There are many occasions in which people have committed suicide because someone is manipulating them just like I mentioned before. Sadly, there is nothing we can do about it except one thing. We can all learn about EI in schools and wake up in a way so that we don't end up verbally killing people.

Emotional intelligence (otherwise known as emotional quotient or EQ) is the ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict. Emotional intelligence helps you build stronger relationships, succeed at school and work, and achieve your career and personal goals. It can also help you to connect with your feelings, turn intention into action, and make informed decisions about what matters most to you. Emotional intelligence is also more important than IQ. It is an ability to control your emotions and to be able to understand others with body language. If you have emotional intelligence you can make friends more easily and be a very nice person. If you are very smart but you don’t have emotional intelligence at all then can’t make friends easily and you can do nothing. It is generally very important and can be useful in many things.

What Is Emotional Intelligence?

Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to identify and manage one’s own emotions, as well as the emotions of others.

Emotional intelligence is generally said to include at least three skills: emotional awareness, or the ability to identify and name one’s own emotions; the ability to harness those emotions and apply them to tasks like thinking and problem solving; and the ability to manage emotions, which includes both regulating one’s own emotions when necessary and helping others to do the same.

There is no validated psychometric test or scale for emotional intelligence as there is for "g," the general intelligence factor—and many argue that emotional intelligence is therefore not an actual construct, but a way of describing interpersonal skills that go by other names.

Despite this criticism, the concept of emotional intelligence—sometimes referred to as emotional quotient or EQ—has gained wide acceptance. In recent years, some employers have even incorporated emotional intelligence tests into their application and interview processes, on the theory that someone high in emotional intelligence would make a better leader or coworker.

While some studies have found a link between emotional intelligence and job performance, many others have shown no correlation, and the lack of a scientifically valid scale makes it difficult to truly measure or predict someone’s emotional intelligence on the job or in the home.

Well this year our teacher added a new kind of lesson- the deeper learning lesson , so as a class we chose 'friendship' as a theme. Well in this period we are talking about emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence or EI is a very important lesson for us and in my opinion the government should add it as a lesson emotional intelligence in our school curriculum. From these lessons I understand that even a simple thing sometimes can be hard to understand , for example a facial expression of somebody sometimes it can be hard to understand the meaning behind that face. I also learned how to control my emotions and also to be more confident. It is important to say that if someone is emotional intelligent he or she is stronger in the mind than the one who doesn't. Also the people who are emotional intelligent are more likely to succeed in their life. Moreover I think that emotional intelligence is more important to have than IQ.

Some weeks before, i had never even heard what emotional intelligence was.I hadn't thought about that, as school gives no importance on this. From my point of view, EI is beneficial for our lives, as for being successful we need both intelligence and emotions.Controlling our emotions can have as a result taking the best decisions, creating close relationships , making a successful career etc. However, having EI can also be used for cunning actions, such as manipulating people. This is dangerous for people that don't have EI, so they can't control it. Personally, i'm pleased of knowing and learning more about emotional intelligence. I think if we use that correctly, we could make a positive difference !!

After a month of mainly talking about emotional intelligence I was helped to understand how important it really is especially if you have fully control of it. it can also be used to understand people's mood for example if they're feeling upset, depressed or happy. You can help them depending on the situation. I think it's safe to say that emotinal intelligence is as important as your IQ.

Before our lessons about deeper learning and emotional intelligence , I didn't know anything about emotions or feelings and how important it is to know some facts about emotional intelligece and why or how we use emotions. Nevertheless, our teacher decided that it would be great for us to learn various things concerning emotions and how to control them. Emotional intelligence is the ability to identify and manage your own emotions, besides the emotions of others. Moreover, it helps you with self awareness, empathy, motivation, social skills and sef regulation. Having learned how to do that, you can easily identify and manage emotions and you also have confidence and self awareness. I am very thankful to my teacher that taught us about it!♡

We addressed the value of this topic and strategies to develop our social skills, which are key in our everyday lives and I'm glad that we were able to analyse this issue, because I , like most teenagers in our days, had no idea what EQ is and the importance of it. EQ lets us understand and handle our feelings, which benefits our mental stability, as well as our ability to make friends, maintain relationships, and do better in our future jobs. Last but not least, throughout the lesson we also learned new vocabulary in order to express our feelings and what we are experiencing after we have recognized them first.

But not impossible.
EI is important to our everyday life like when we are trying to get our point across or even to communicate with others easily.
Furthermore another benefit that a person with high EQ has is to understand how others feel by just seeing the reaction on his\her face.
To conclude, I believe EI is more important than IQ. Well when somebody tries to express his feelings by using E.I he will express them more easily but if you use E.I as well you will understand better his feeling.
In conclusion it really helps children communicate better with teachers and express their feelings to them and not be afraid to.
To sum up I really believe that if people use E.I they will feel way better and they will express their feelings so easy.I hope everybody understands the seriousness of Emotional Intelligence and how it helps you.
Marios

This year we learned about a new lesson emotional intelligence. From this lesson I learn how to control my emotions and my feelings I learn to have more self confidence and I think it is one of the most useful lessons I have ever had.To control your emotions I think is one of the hardest things you can do but is not impossible.I think EQ is more useful and better than IQ in your life because you might be the person with the highest IQ in the world but if you don’t know how to express your feelings and your ideas then your ideas is useful and you don’t know how to take advantage of your IQ.For example a person with a high EQ percentage is easy for him to understand and to help other people to control their emotions and solve their problems.

Before we learnt about emotional intelligence (E.I), I thought I could recognize and control my feelings. I never thought about how important it is to have emotional intelligence until now.. Emotional intelligence is the ability to manage, understand and handle your emotions. People with high emotional intelligence can recognize their emotions and trust me.. There aren't many people.. E.I can help you develop social and emotional skills such as self-awareness, empathy, communication, problem-solving and many other things. In conclusion, EQ is really important for our lives..It helps you create a non-toxic environment between relationships, friends and family. To sum up, after this class I've learned many things that will change my life in the future because Emotional intelligence is one of the most important lessons that life can teach you!

A month ago ,I didn't care about emotional intelligence until I learnt more and more and I finally realised how serious and important it is. The only problem is that nobody ever taught me so I didn't know how to manage it and unfortunately a lot of people have the same problem as me and we need to help as many people as possible.

For a couple of weeks I have been thinking about E.I and how much can help you manage your feelings better and help you communicate with other without feeling anxious or scared. It can also help people with social anxiety to encourage them to have self-esteem and not to feel embarrassed around people.

It's not the end of the world after a bad grade or a bad day and life is not perfect. Every day you become better as a person as long as you never give up until you succeed.

You need to know your worth as a person and never let anyone put you down.

In my opinion emotional intelligence is as important as IQ because it is more important to know and understand a person than numbers.

Before i learnt about EQ I thought I could control and express my feelings right so i didn't think that EQ could be useful until now.

EI (emotional intelligence) is the ability to understand and manage your feelings and trust me... there aren't many people who can express and understand their own feelings and others people feelings too so my question is :Is EQ more useful then IQ?

Well IQ (Intelligence Quotient) is a measure of your ability to solve problems and think logically, EQ (Emotional Intelligence Quotient) measures your ability to understand and manage emotions. Your EQ can have a greater influence on your success in life than your IQ and two reasons i believe that EQ is more useful that IQ are:

1.High EQ leads to healthy relationships with others.

Our emotional skills have a direct and important bearing on our relationships with others. We need to understand our feelings, where they come from, and how to properly express them. We will not maintain healthy relationships unless we can control our emotions, communicate our feelings in a constructive manner, and understand the feelings of others.

2.Emotional health impacts physical health.

There is a direct connection between our emotional health and our physical health. If our lives are filled with stress, our physical health suffers. It has been estimated that well over 80% of our health problems are stress-related. We experience stress primarily because we are not comfortable emotionally. We need to understand the link between our emotional health and our physical health.

Hope this might help you to understand how useful EQ is!

Now, I know that Emotional Intelligence is very important to know it, because you learn how to control, recognise and manage your feelings. Also it is the ability to handle and understand your own feelings and emotions. It helps you to build a non toxic environment across your relationships with your friends or close friends, your family and generally the people in your life. To sum up Emotional Intelligence is one of the most important lessons that you can learn and teach you many things, such as how to develop social skills, empathy, problem solving and many more.

For three weeks now the lessons that we have been doing is about EQ. At first I didn’t even know the existence of EQ but know I know that IQ is trash without EQ. Everyone is talking about your IQ and how smart you are but they never talk about EQ, the most important thing in our lives. If you have high IQ and lower EQ you won’t be able to use your smartness. Everyone will think that you have low IQ and you won’t be able to express your feelings.

Now, if you have low IQ and higher EQ You won’t be smart, but you will understand the feelings of others and your own feelings at the same time. If someone isn’t feeling good, you will be able to calm them down. If you are taking an important test you wo'nt be anxious because you can control your feelings and you will be very calm to write your test. Now If you have high, IQ and high, EQ You will be Smart, and you will control easily your own feelings and others.

Schools need emotional intelligence lessons for many reasons. At first students with low Emotional intelligence won’t live a good life because they will be closed to their selves. Teenagers are angry most of the time of the day and If they had high, emotional intelligence, they could be able to control their anger and be calm all day. also students with high EQ will be able to make friends easily and the school environment will be very calm. That’s why all students must be Able to have access At lessons of emotional intelligence. Another reason is that kids Are getting Bullied in schools but they are afraid to talk to adults. If they had high emotional Intelligence they could be to calm themselves down and talk to someone

If the world continues like that, human Community will be a chaos. ALL SCHOOLS MUST INCLUDE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE!!!!!!

But I did my research and I realized that it more important to have high EQ than IQ.

First of all if you have high EQ you can understand your own feelings better, overcome hard situations a lot easier than the people who don't have high EQ, also you are more sympathetic to others.

Now if you don't have high EQ you can work on it with the help of a therapist. In my opinion everyone should have the change to work on their selfs and their EQ for their own good.

The last lessons that we have done are about emotional intelligence. Many people don’t know what even emotional intelligence is. Emotional intelligence is when you can understand your and the other’s feelings well. After learning a few things about it I started thinking of how I manage my emotions and I came to a conclusion that I don’t manage them so well so I decided to learn more and more because when I’m feeling something I just try to get over it and not be sensitive about it. I want to improve more and more everyday and not to continue being average emotionally intelligent and I think that many other people would like to improve too. Now I would like to prioritize my feelings more than before and others should start doing it too because it’s important to feel good with ourselves and be confident. When we finally learn how to control our emotions and be confident we will probably be more sociable.

It has helped me be more communicative with others and has made me understand how people feel by the faces they’re making their mood or even their moves. It has made me more mature and see problems in another way. It has also made me understand that if you have a problem with someone you don’t have to fight. Try to understand each other’s thoughts and feelings. Talk it out and try to solve the problem without fighting. If E.I didn’t exist in the world it would be like a jungle. Be empathetic to others and try to help them with their problems. Respect everyone that respects you and don’t do things you don’t want anyone else to do to you.
