         <description><![CDATA[<div>I believe that what caused the trout population to decline was high levels of dioxin because, according to the graph in activity 12.1 through 1950-1970 the dioxin level was over 100ppt. The key in activity 12.1 states that levels of dioxin over 100ppt will kill everything. Through the 20 years of the dioxin levels being above 100ppt the trout population eventually hit rock bottom.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Mrs.Stern I think that the sea lamprey is what is making the trout population decease because the sea lamprey is an invasive species so it does not have that many predators so it can increase the population of sea lamprey and the more sea lamprey the less trout because then all the sea lamprey will eat all the trout.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I believe that the trout population declined due to both the Dioxin chemical that is poured into the great lakes from making plastics, but also the Sea Lamprey because with both the lamprey and the dioxin increasing, the trout almost completely died out, and many dead trout have been seen with circular quarter-size wounds on their sides from the Lamprey.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I believe that both the Sea Lamprey and the Dioxin levels caused the trout to decline because whenever the Sea Lamprey population or the Dioxin levels went up, the trout population went down. This makes sense because Dioxin was probably introduced to the trout through bioaccumulation. The Sea Lamprey has a wide diet and no natural predators in the area to keep the population in check. </div>]]></description>
