         <description><![CDATA[<div>Theodore Roosevelt was born on October 27, 1858 in New York City, New York. He is from a wealthy family and was home schooled. <br><br>He attended Harvard University and later held a position in the legislature of New York. <br>He married Alice Hathaway Lee and they had a daughter named Alive. Unfortunately, his mother and wife passed away from a disease which caused him to leave everything and move to areas in the Dakotas, in 1884. <br><br>He became a lawman, raised cattle, read books, and wrote historical books. He later remarried to Edith Carow and had five children, at this point he had returned  to society.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Starting in 1885 to 1889, Roosevelt was a U.S. Civil Service commissioner in Washington D.C.. Starting in 1895, he New York City's police commissioner and this ended in 1897. <br><br>Also in the year of 1897, Roosevelt became the assistant secretary of the navy and was appointed by William McKinley. As a result of showing great leadership during the Spanish-American War, he had a successful campaign and won the position of New York's governor in 1898. <br><br>President McKinley was shot by an assassin, and died, and Roosevelt became the youngest president in office. </div>]]></description>
