The Innovative Financing for Air Pollution Control was designed to support the implementation of the government’s Air Pollution Control Action Plan and the 13th Five-Year Plan, for energy efficiency and clean energy with a focus on controlling air pollutants at their source by improving energy efficiency and expanding the clean energy. (The government restricts industries on their usage of coal and instead recommend that they use clean energy sources.)
3. Strengths: Reuses energy of burning fossil fuels and other sources of energy.
3. Challenges: Restrictions on production and use of coal may heap pressure on the economy and domestic supply chains. (This threatens the livelihood of coal companies. The government would restrict the usage of coal on industries if industries do not cut down their usage of coal, thus this would also result in unemployment and earning lesser money.)
