<title>[Content creation] Graphic narrative: San Carlos, Antioquia by </title>
      <link>https://padlet.com/kristine_fitch/83ebq0ufxxuq</link>
<description>I would like to create a graphic narrative from stories of people who live in San Carlos, a town in Antioquia Colombia that became well known as a scene of violent conflict between guerrillas and paramilitaries between 1990 and 2015. 1/3 to 1/2 of the population was displaced, and many have now returned to live there. Their stories of what the town went through and why they came back would be a visual history of Colombia&#39;s struggle and also have strong messages of hope. This would be an intermediate-level text in Spanish for culture classes, with links to historical sources, videos and other enrichment materials to elaborate on the stories themselves. I have 150 + photographs of San Carlos - an exquisite post card of a village - but need to find a graphic artist to make them into drawings, and learn how to write the stories into a narrative that will flow with graphic illustrations (think comic books). I have several models I&#39;m working from, some from graphic medicine and one from an anthropologist (En el ombligo) who lived with a community of returning FARC members for two years and created an amazing book about the experience. I&#39;m looking for collaborators to create the enrichment materials: grammar, vocabulary, classroom discussion exercises to go along with the videos I will find to go along with the central story.</description>
