A way of adapting to your environment is when you go to the gym- you must wear the correct clothes and shoes and eat the right foods before you go. Otherwise, you are not prepared. Another way is when you begin school- you are trying to figure out a new routine. You must also know how to prioritize your work through trail and error. You can adapt by prioritizing school over other activities and by getting enough sleep.

Constructive

An experience of constructive learning is breaking down your school work for the week. Then transferring that work onto a to-do list that can be check marked as completed. I find this very helpful when trying to remember the work that needs to be completed. While babysitting, bottles for the child can be pre-mixed and refrigerated until needed. Diapers and wipes can be set in an easy to reach area. Baby naps can be planned around older children's school schedule.

Being intentional is to have an end goal. I work two jobs- I feed cows and babysit. Both of these, the end result is making money to save up to help pay for college and my school books. This will result in going to graduate school to later became a speech pathologist. These are both hardworking jobs and the skills developed and used are helpful now and will continue to be helpful later on.

An experience that is authentic is learning how to speak to others and be cooperative. An experience that could be authentic is having mock interviews in school. Students practice how to speak to adults in higher positions and how to obtain a jobs. They can then be critiqued on things they did right or wrong. A previous authentic experience, that for the time being is limited, is going to college classes. Students learn time-management skills and how to interact with others by going into classrooms.

Teachers will encourage students to think independently other own, but will also want them to comment on each others ideas in activities like discussion posts. This is helpful because students can think independently and maybe find a new approach or a new view to a lesson that they maybe hadn't thought of before. Another example is group work. Students come together and brainstorm ideas to complete their project or assignment.
