         <description><![CDATA[<div>In a co-teaching model of student teaching, teaching candidates and cooperating teachers will attend a workshop together during their first week to learn collaboration, communication, and co-planning strategies to enhance the success for all involved parties. Cooperating teachers can support their teaching candidates in the weeks leading up to the edTPA in this model by helping the candidate get to know the students, grow confidence teaching, and choose their class, topic, and focus students for their edTPA learning segment. </div>]]></description>

Students should begin by reading the Making Good Choices document and&nbsp;their specific subject handbook before starting your internship.&nbsp;Students should also communicate with their cooperating teacher about which class and subject they will be picking up first as well as start planning their lesson and commentary.</div>]]></description>
