Without Miss Skeeter starting the interviews or Atticus taking on Tom Robinson's case, the way things were would stay the same. Because of bold choices and risks, the towns begin to change. Even if racism isn't completely gone, people are being made aware of it. I believe that places begin to change because some people know what is right, and act on it. In To Kill a Mockingbird, the foreshadowing of the wild dog represents change. The dog is like racism, walking down the streets of Maycomb and making people aware of it.
