<title>This week my stress levels have definitely increased as assignment deadlines are fast approaching. I feel like I have a lot to complete in the next few weeks, even the thought of this is stressful. I was very distracted in this weeks tutorial class as all I could think of is how much I have to do. However, from attending the tutorial I was able to think critically and find a solution to my problem. I have realised I need to reflect on my progress each day in meeting my deadlines. Each day I need to complete my scheduled workload, to achieve the best result I can in my assignments. I need to prioritise the assignments that are due first and mange my time much better. Now that I have purchased a laptop I feel like I can work on the go and at home as previously I had to travel to the university library. I&#39;m going to try to stay positive and get things done.</title>

<title>The journey to my learning is long and hard. There are a lot of things that I need to learn in order to get the best for my education. This week we learnt about Lateral Thinking. I am not good at this kind of thinking so having this lesson today at the tutorial gave me an insight of what I need to do in order to improve my Lateral Thinking skills to help me in the future.</title>

<title>To begin my journey i felt open minded to the different learning topics being covered. I felt that the first couple of tutorials where quite effective in terms of understanding more about myself. For example, the &#39;SHAPES&#39; activity was useful in terms of analysing my habits, preferences, attitudes etc. On the other hand I felt that some topics were not really interesting in the sense that the information was common knowledge on my behalf. Moreover, i find that the group activities are good in terms of interacting and exchanging knowledge and information with other peers. Overall, i find the learning journey is to be going well although some topics i do not find challenging to my learning experience</title>

<title>Working in a team, and thinking outside the box also thinking broader which unable us to get a better image on what the riddle which we did during tutorial. During the Task which we did we get to put our mind in another mind set and to think out side the box, e.g. think of the positives, think about the benefits. in addition we had to do critical thinking, which allowed us to get an insight and different views from everyone&#39;s point of view.</title>

<title>so far, I have developed more confidence in myself though the journey has been so tasking due to my new environment but its worth it. I can now work in a team, I have known most of the business etiquettes in the UK. the elevator pitch has also been helpful in giving a brief description of myself should I run into my employer at the elevator. I have learnt to wear the right thinking cap (Edward de Borno&#39;s six thinking caps ) and deal with one problem at a time.</title>

<title>PP2 Student Learning Journey Week 8: Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, &amp; Reflection Week 8 started off with PPD2. This lecture was based on lateral thinking problems that we as undergraduates or graduates to be. We discussed how lateral thinking is key when living an everyday life as a human resource student. Critical thinking is defined as the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue to form a judgement. In groups, we took part in some problem solving that required critical thinking. One of the problems that we had to solve was ‘Problem 3- There are six eggs in a basket. Six people each take one egg. How can it be that one egg is left in the basket?’ funny enough this question got me confused. The answer to the question was the last person took the basket with the last egg still inside. We also learnt that about Edward de Bono who states that ‘creative thinking is not a talent, it is a skill that van be learned. It empowers people by adding strength to their natural abilities which improves teamwork, productivity and, where appropriate, profits. Bono also developed the theory of the six thinking hats. The purpose of the theory was simplify thinking by allowing an individual to deal with one thing at a time. The benefits of the six thinking hats was to help look at important decisions from several different perspectives likewise helps understanding the full complexity of a decision and notice issues as well as opportunities. Each hat represented a way of thinking. Blue hat – Control hat, reflective and planning hat Red hat – Feeling &amp; emotions gut reactions White hat – Information seeking hat Yellow hat – Happy, positive and constructive Green hat – Creativity, growth &amp; movement ideas and solutions Black hat – Caution hat, points out errors anything negative danger Judging on myself I belief that the red hat and blue hat is a great reflection on me. I believe that problem solving, critical thinking and reflection is very important being an undergraduate and need when graduation takes place as it will help you further down in your future career.</title>

<title>This session required me to work as part of a team to solve the questions on the lateral thinking handout. Although we only managed to successfully solve one problem we realised the importance of thinking more creatively and outside of the box. We also learned about Ed de Bono’s 6 hats and what each hat is characterised by. I believe that I often use the blue and black hat and thinking laterally requires more of a green hat.</title>
