Mi chiamo Sarah e questo è il mio secondo semestre che imparo l'italiano. Studio psicologia qui alla KSU e ho un minore in italiano. Mi piace leggere e ascoltare musica. È stato grazie alla musica che ho iniziato a imparare l'italiano. Io e il mio amico abbiamo ascoltato insieme vecchie canzoni d'amore italiane. Mia cugina è nata in Italia e mi racconta sempre storie.   Non sono mai stato in Italia ma ho in programma di andare a studiare all'estero tra qualche anno. L'Italia sembra un posto meraviglioso e voglio visitare un giorno. È difficile cercare di ricordare tutte le parole e parlare in modo fluido, ma diventa più facile con la pratica. Imparare la differenza tra passato prossimo e imperfetto è stata probabilmente la parte più difficile di questo semestre. Sono migliorato in tutti gli aspetti della lingua, inclusi parlare, leggere e scrivere. Mi sono piaciuti alcuni degli incarichi che abbiamo portato a termine, in particolare quello culturale. Mi è piaciuto conoscere tutti i diversi aspetti della cultura italiana. Voglio continuare a studiare l'italiano ma non sono riuscito a includerlo nel mio programma per il prossimo semestre. Voglio continuare a imparare in modo indipendente e spero di avere di nuovo la possibilità di seguire un corso di italiano.

I had to research and interpret information to make this blog post. I used several sources found online about Italian immigration to other countries and the state of things in those countries today. This assignment helped me learn a lot about Italian culture and the many waves of migration that occurred in Italy. Although the letter is short it demonstrates my skills with interpersonal communication. The purpose of this letter was to write home to family in Italy about immigrating to America and the time I spent there. I wrote about what we had learned in class and I also did a little bit of research into Italian immigration. For this assignment I included a recorded audio of my group's presentation and then the presentation itself. This project was interesting because I had never heard of the island of Capri before. I learned a lot about Italian culture and the places people like to go for vacation. This assignment reflects the time I spent studying an aspect of Italian culture that was previously unknown to me. Completing this work helped me to better understand the Italian culture of food and truffle hunting which is so different than that of American culture.
