From a positive point, euthanasia helps to put an end to their unbearable pain and long-term disability. Most people with critical health conditions have to wake up and repeat the same routine by taking the medication, unable to experience the joy of life. An example can be seen in the movie “Me before you,” where a man chose to end his life as he couldn’t be the adventurous man he was before, and he couldn’t bear to witness the pain of his loved ones having to see his slow death. Choosing euthanasia helps people to take control of their lives and die with dignity instead of slowly rotting on their deathbed.  

Moreover, it is expensive to keep the patients alive when their disease is incurable. Family with financial issues struggle to raise their funds for a long time which can leave them in debt as the average cost per year varies from $100 000- $150 000 depending on the type of disease. Many commentators note that 27 to 30% of the Medicare budget is spent on the 5 percent of Medicare patients who die annually. (Ezekiel J.E, & Margaret P.B, n.d.) Thus, having the option to choose euthanasia relieves the financial burden for the family.

In contrast, some people can be forced to choose euthanasia without their willingness by their family or friends (involuntary euthanasia). There is also concern that legalization of assisted dying will change our social norms and expectations, such that the right to die could eventually start to feel like a duty to die. (Lee Goldman MD, 2020). In some cases, the patient can feel pressure as they think they caused the burden and they would give up on their lives easily. 

Again, the easy accessibility of euthanasia would discourage the scientists to find new cures and treatments. Likewise, the doctors and nurses would provide poor health facility to their terminally ill patients when they don’t need to put the effort. 

To sum up, people have different opinions on the value of life and legalization of euthanasia. However, an individual should have a right to decide for their own life depending on their situation. 

         First of all, traveling allows you a rare insight into someone else’s first-hand knowledge and culture. The diversity of people with different beliefs helps us to understand more about each other. Hence, people tend to be more open-minded which is good for self- development. For example, most people experience culture shock when they see strange food in other cultures, but after tasting they can feel the uniqueness of the food which is impossible to find back home. As a result, people are exposed to strange things getting more knowledge about the history of the food and culture that they’ve experienced while traveling.

In addition, the new experiences from traveling can help us gain several benefits. It enhances our ability to deal with different challenges, such as organization, social interaction, and adaptability to our surrounding environment. Traveling in groups can promote the potential success of teamwork and strengthen the bond between colleagues. Travelers can be more likely to expose to new ideas and creativity after a fun trip. One of the famous travelers was Marco Polo who introduced revolutionary ideas to Europeans that he got from eastern countries. 

The writer of text 1 directly addresses the readers to advice the readers about positive thinking. This helps the writer’s article to feel more personal to the readers making the article more persuasive. In contrast, the writer of text 2 uses inclusive pronouns to give suggestions about negative thinking. This helps to evoke the similarities with the readers by relating to her article. 

Both the writer of text 1 and text 2 use subtitles to convey their ideas. By using the subtitles, it allows the writer to separate the topics in an organized way making the article feel easier to read. 

The writer of text 1 starts off her article positively. This can be seen as “that will do wonders for your health.” This implies the optimistic tone of the writer. The readers can feel encouraged and interested in her article by reading what those benefits are. However, the writer of text 2 uses personal anecdote to convey her negative experiences. This can be seen as “I’m living out of a duffel bag…. unable to pay.” This implies the bitter tone of the writer recalling her tough times. This helps the readers to relate their own problems and sympathize with the writer. 

Both text 1 and text 2 includes researches and expert’s comment. The writer of text 1 put several expert names, such as “Richard J. Davidson” and “Noulas”. This helps the article to feel more reliable and helps to add weight on the argument. Similarly, the writer of text 2 mentions “One study found that… negative emotions more frequently.” The readers can be more convinced by the writer’s valid arguments. 

The writer of text 1 presents her ideas in first- person pronoun. This can help to make her suggestions feel more personal for the readers by creating a friendly boundary making her text more engaging. In contrast, the writer of text 2 presents her ideas in third- person pronoun. This way, the readers can refer that they also have the same problems as other people in her article. 

Both texts are written in a slightly informal tone. In text 1, the writer mentions herself as “I’m probably one of the messiest people I know.” This helps to create a dramatic impact on the readers by emphasizing on her untidiness. In text 2, the writer describes the teenager’s room as “teenage wasteland.” This can help the readers to visualize the unhygienic and horrifying state of the teenager’s bedroom. 

The writer of text 1 includes her personal experience about how untidy she was. However, the writer of text 2 includes the quotes of the professionals. 

Many people fear that some activities may be dangerous for their children and not being able to trust their children.  Despite the thrilling activities, children safety will always come first in our community. Moreover, some activities may need heavy sponsors that our community may not be able to provide. However, with the parent’s help, the children may be able to take part in variety of activities. 

For adventurous and athletic kids, sailing would be one of the best activities out there. For the sports enthusiastic, we can offer team sports, such as basketball, football, baseball and tennis. If your children would like to take part in arts and crafts, there are French, maths, drama, music and dance clubs. 

By taking part in the activities, your children will gain myriads of advantages. Firstly, your children will have determination in doing something that they enjoy as well as becoming hard- working children in order to win the competition. They will gain their survival skills if they take part in outdoor activities by learning the usage of the first- aid kit and learning how to take care of their selves. Your children will become independent and responsible. If they take part in sport and art clubs, their physical health and creativity skills will improve. What about for the academics? If your children participate in activities, it will be convenience for their college applications. Most importantly, your children will gain social skills by interacting with different people in their age group. Hence, this will aid them to be more open- minded. 

To sum up, children will have fun apart from their studies and gain benefits for their lives as well.

Women in politics and policy have made a great improvement and changes for their countries throughout the year. Some may disagree with the fact, but there are several reasons and survey that show how women are better leaders than men.

Building relationship in legislation or with different countries are crucial for maintaining a regional peace. Women care for the equality of different gender and inclusiveness in other’s opinion and feelings while men rely on their power and assertiveness. Hence, women make a better team and accomplish the group project in unity.
