Her personality is very straightforward and is imprudent when in conflict. "Then if he's not dead you've got one, haven't you?" (Lee, 8). In that quote, we can see that Scout is asking Dill where is his father, but instead of comforting him that's its fine, she wants to know no matter what. This also shows her personality as curious

She is very annoyed by how other people deal with conflict. She doesn't show empathy for others and this is shown through her thoughts. "He would of probably poured it into his milk glass if I had not asked what in the sam hill he was doing," (Lee, 24). This shows us that her thoughts are not for showing empathy for others and only see it in her point of view.

Her problem is based from her thoughts with conformity of society. The Great Depression is the overall conflict of everyone in the story and is the umbrella to cause everything else.

I think she will advance the plot by developing empathy after a big event hits her. She would finally describe in her point of view without the bias and how she got to where shes at now. She would help bring out the theme of showing compassion for others and we can see now she is slowly developing. We can also tell she is a dynamic character, so she will go through major amounts of change. "Atticus said I had learned several many things today, and Miss Carolina had learned several things herself," (Lee, 30). We can see she is going through character development and will eventually develop fully the theme of empathy.
