         <description><![CDATA[<div>When glucose enters the bloodstream,  cells in the pancreas are supposed to be stimulated to release an important hormone called insulin.  However in people with type one diabetes enough insulin is not released which could lead to and excess amount glucose causing symptoms like fatigue, exhaustion, and dizziness.  So in order to combat this you inject a certain type of insulin whenever it is necessary.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>While the exact cause of type one diabetes is uncertain, it is widely accepted that this disease is a result from the bodies immune system mistakenly attacking the insulin creating cells in the pancreas, these are known as the beta cells.  The immune system is designed to attack any unwanted bacteria in the body, but by deming beta cells as harmful, the immune system is getting rid of the insulin the body needs in order to regulate blood sugar levels.</div>]]></description>

Exposure to viruses or other environmental factors during your life has the ability to trigger the response of the immune system which characterizes type 1 diabetes. Genetics is also a contributor as type 1 diabetes involves an inherited susceptibility to developing the disease when one or both of the parents have the disease. <br><br></div>]]></description>
