         <description><![CDATA[<p>The battle took place on May 10, 1775,  Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold was the leaders of the Patriots in this battle against the British army. It made sure there was a strategic passageway through the north to Canada, and got important artillery there including 600 cannons. The Patriots won the battle of Fort Ticonderoga.</p>]]></description>
