  • Go slowly - you never know when things are going to change. Remain flexible.
  • Employee change management is key - communication with teams address the fatigue of the unknowns
  • Not all teams will be coming back on campus (eg R3)
  • Finalizing distancing and sanitizing rules
  • Big individual and team differences in comfort being on campus
  • Increased sick leaves - positive covid tests and family support. Uncertainty about when employees can revert to remote work.
  • Employee concerns about ability to protect themselves from ill students and colleagues. How do we balance respect for choice and safety.   
    Students have indicated a preference for remote service delivery

  • College-wide flexibility is imperative 
  • Clear expectations needed with regard to sick days or snow days (for those with school-aged children)
  • Physical space - how do we ensure health and safety, ergonomic preferences in shared spaces; how do employees personalize their on-site space if shared?
  • Ability to refer students with certainty - if referring a student to another service, how can we be assured that student is able to access support from that area? (i.e. is there someone on-site who can assist on that particular day?)
  • Clear standards needed with regard to employee health + health of employee's family members (which may impact employee ability to work on-site and/or effectively off-site)
