There is a huge problem happening around the world, caused by plastics. Thousands of animals are dying every hour because of humans littering, and plastics being thrown in the wrong places. Animals are found with plastics inside their stomachs, having tried to digest plastics. I think we should take actions, like making sure that the plastic they use is recyclable and disintegrable. Another step that could be taken would be to force people to not use plastic bags and/or bottles by not selling them or making them extremely expensive. Please consider these points to make the world a better place and make it last longer.

The excessive consumption of plastic is damaging our planet . In society, we use plastic everyday, from plastic bag, food packaging to cosmetics. This exorbitant use of plastic ends up with the waste streaming into landfill or in our oceans, consequently effecting the animals in their habitats. These synthetic materials take decades to degrade and can be mistakenly eaten by animals. This causes them to die of starvation. I propose a few ideas to try and limit the amount of plastic that we consume. My first solution is that we ban bottled water. Billions of plastic bottles are tossed away every year, they end up in our oceans or in landfill where they take years to decomposed. The second idea is to encourage recycling. This may seem obvious but less than 14% of plastic is recycled and it could make a big difference to the ecosystems that are currently affected. My final proposition is that plastic bags are banned. Hundreds of other countries have already banned plastic bags, because they are a major contributor to the plastic pollution crisis.

Plastics are a large problem across the world that we need to be aware of and attempt to fix. Thousands of tonnes of plastic are being thrown into the ocean each year, and this is killing the wildlife and damaging the ecosystems of our oceans. Hundreds of birds, fish and other marine animals are dying each day, and this is causing the deterioration of the oceanic environment. To fix this problem, we need to reduce the amount of plastic we use, from plastic bottles to bags, and eventually stop using plastic altogether in exchange for renewable, biodegradable materials. We must begin the use of fines on companies and individuals who dump their waste of any kind into the oceans rivers and other waterways of our world.

I am thankful for the different uses that plastic has. But, it's result has damaged the marine life, and it's ecosystems. Water is an essential material in not only our everyday life, but oceans is a source that is important to animals as well. From drinking to daily appliances. And with micro plastics ending up in the ocean, there is a chance that these plastics will end up in our food and poison us. Instead of leaving litter in the ocean, we can properly dispose of it.

As it may already be expected, this letter will be stressing the point that we need to reduce, improve and develop our perspective on plastic and how it is both created and consumed. As of the current state, plastic consumption is at an all time rise and unfortunately will not slow down any time soon if we continue down the same path. Not only is it having detrimental impacts on marine life but our entire eco system. This dependance on cheap and destructive plastic may seem unevitable but as of right now, if we want to completely stop the destruction of our planet, we must make the right moves, we must replace the plastic industry with something eco friendly.

I am writing to you to express my concern for what is happening all throughout the world. Animals on land and ocean are rapidly dying due to plastic pollution. Many animals mistake these plastics for food and unfortunately die because of it. Sometimes, people end up eating a type of plastic called micro plastic due to the fact that their food sources (fish and land animals) have ended up eating it. This has a negative affect on us and our environment. We should prevent plastic pollution by doing things such as increasing taxes on plastic filled bottles, plastic bag, etc. Or severely fining those who liter. We need to be paying more attention to what is happening to our home, or else one day it won't be our home.

I am writing to you to inform how plastic is damaging the marine habitat and animals. I agree with the fact that plastic is very helpful to human and how we have strong reliance on plastic. However, have you read about the articles how plastic is damaging the earth and its nature? Currently, plastic is going everywhere throughout the oceans, lands, rivers, lakes, or even on the mountains separated in small pieces. It surely damages our nature and causes plastic pollution on the land, but the actual problem is that the animals eat small plastics without being digested properly. They misunderstand those small particles as food and eat them which causes premature death and death from additional toxins which breaks the ecosystem.
Our consumption of plastic is keep increasing and we need to develop our own solution to improve this problem. To recommend some points, I do believe we need to advertise the seriousness of plastic pollution, increase the tax for plastic wastes, and to inform people about recycle. This way, we can improve our current status and our environment.

The amount of plastic that is being used and thrown away is damaging our Earth and the animals who live in it. Many animals are losing their lives because of consuming plastic (not knowing what it is) and dying because they feel like they are full but they die because of starvation. Plastic is also affecting human lives because humans consume microplastics and it damages the human body. Water is an essential for humans but it is being damaged by plastic. Plastic is overrunning both our lives and the lives of all the animals and their habitats. This problematic issue is an obvious reason to take action. The plastic polluting our seas and land is destroying the native species and in turn harms us and the world.
