Supportive, reliable, observant, enthusiastic, hardworking and with good practical skills. These are some of the strengths that someone with the ISFJ personality type have. I do personally see a majority of these strengths in myself and they certainly would be valuable to have in pretty much any workplace.

ISFJ's are also overly humble, take things too personally, tend to repress their feelings, overcommitted, reluctant to change and too altruistic. These weaknesses typically associated with ISFJ's I also find myself relating to quite a bit. I also find that they tend to be tied to my ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), which makes tackling them even more difficult. However, I find the biggest and maybe most taxing first step towards improving yourself to be being aware of what needs to be improved, which I am.

History is my main major and my most enjoyed subject of all. I would say it's one of my biggest passions and I followed my heart into this major and I have never regretted it. Even when I'm struggling with Assessment or content, the fact that I'm doing history keeps me motivated.

Anthropology is my second major in my BART degree. I didn't know much about Anthropology prior to attending university and meeting fellow students who were studying Anthropology along with History. It seemed to be a pretty common combination and from what I heard from them; it sounded like a pretty interesting major. After looking into it, I decided to choose it as my second major and so far I am yet to regret my decision.

As previously mentioned in my vision board, respect is one of my key values. I try to treat everyone with respect, as I do believe that as long as I behave respectfully, people should treat me with respect back. If they do not, I know not to bother with them.

I think this DISC type melds well with the ISFJ type. The DISC types focus particularly on behaviour in the workplace. I have yet to join the workplace but from my work in school I do connect with this type. I enjoy following steps and prefer working alone to working in groups. I do tend to be a bit of a perfectionist, almost to a fault sometimes but I think I've gotten better at accepting when I've done the best I can. I try not to focus too much on what I could've done and just what I did do. Which, is almost always sufficient (sometimes to my surprise).

I will have graduated from UniSQ.

I will know whether I want to do an Honours degree or not.

I will complete an internship/placement to give myself a better idea of what a career in the history field could look like.

I will enter the workforce confident that the career I have pursued is the right one for me at this moment.

Everyone is their own human being with their own thoughts and opinions and everyone deserves to be able to hold those thoughts and opinions. Individuality can lead to a much more balanced workplace where everyone can feel welcome, able to express their criticism on how things are going. I would also love to be in a workplace where I am free to be as honest to myself as I can, particularly with my ASD and anxiety.

Influence is 'Engages others and shares enthusiasm. Inspires and persuades others.' (Truity 2023). I'm not a leader or a people-person so it makes sense that this is what I am weakest in. As someone who wants to share their enthusiasm in history with the world, I want to improve in this area.

I care a lot about history but I'm concerned that my passion may wane over the years. I do not want to lose that spark that I have that has pushed me forwards for so long now.

Having been diagnosed with anxiety, my typical stress levels are higher than someone without anxiety. This makes me naturally tightly wound and easily overwhelmed. However, with my strategies learnt from therapy and medication to take the edge off, I'm able to much more easily keep my anxiety in check and reason with it.
