The story was about a little girl who was having a bad day and how everything was just too much for her. In the end of the story, her mother is reading a story to her and she apologizes for her behavior and has a good day the next day. I noticed that the main character was very picky and also really loud.

One day after finishing all his task while he waiting for story time the lion went to go ask the head librarian, Miss Merriweather, for something new to do. Miss Merriweather had injured herself and needed the lion to go ask for help from the other librarian, the lion broke the rules and roared at the librarian. The lion left and Miss Merriweather was very upset with the lion leaving even though the lion broke the rules for a good reason. So the other librarian brought the lion back to the library and reunited the two.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T18NCobS43c&feature=youtu.be

"Library Lion" was a story about how a lion had come to the library one day. Because there wasn't a rule prohibiting a lion from being in the library, he was allowed to remain in the library. When story hour came, he sat and listened to each and every story being read aloud. When the hour was over, he roared. When he roared, he broke one of the rules of the library. The librarian, Miss Merriweather, said he could keep coming to the library so long as he did not roar. After this, he would come to the library early everyday and help out. One day, Miss Merriweather was trying to reach a book on a high shelf and fell. She told the lion to get help from the other librarian, which he did. But, this other librarian would not listen to the lion, so the lion roared. The lion broke the rules so that the other librarian would help Miss Merriweather. The lion left the library and did not return. The other librarian went to search for the lion; when he found the lion, he told the lion that it was okay to break the rules if it is for a good reason. The lion returned for story hour the next day.
I liked the message of the story, as well as how the reader read the story aloud. It captivated my attention.

When a Dragon Moves In by Mark Duplass is the book that I listened to. The book starts off with a boy at a beach with his family. He builds a stupendous sandcastle that is shortly afterwards inhabited by a dragon. The dragon and the boy enjoy themselves by indulging in many activities ranging from kite flying, munching on snacks, and unfortunately messing with the boy’s family. The family had about enough of the boy and the dragon, after sand gets thrown on the sister so the dragon and the boy must part. The castle is destroyed, but the boy starts again the next day not letting his imagination be deterred by those around him. I really enjoyed the audio clips sprinkled throughout the video, since it helps create the atmosphere we are seeing visually. I also just really like the concept of continuing to use your imagination regardless of what others say. With so much expectation and pressures nowadays I feel that the story helped emphasize the importance of keeping in touch with creativity/imagination to just express yourself in a fun way. I personally really liked the reader because he incorporated humor with the facial expression he chose to portray. It kept me engaged on not only what he was saying, but helped me immerse myself as if I were experiencing the story first hand.

He then proceeds to ask different animals if they have seen his hat. Each one of the animal he encounters tells him they have not seen his hat, when in reality a sly rabbit stole his hat. The bear beats up the rabbit and proceeds to eat him, at least that is the impression he gives to another animal when they come looking for the rabbit. I really liked the sound effects and voices that the actor gave to each animal. Something that I really wasn't a fan of was how slow the reading was, it made me lose interest until the end.

In the story "Elmer" it is about an elephant who is very different from the rest of the elephants. Elmer has different spots throughout his body and one day he decides to paint himself grey with berries. When he returned nobody knew him and then as we continue Elmer then was caught and everyone laughed. And because of Emler's idea, they dedicated a day to Elmer where everyone paints themselves differently. In this video I noticed the readers tone throughout the book, I also liked how at the end she gave out a project to do if anyone wants to create their own Elmer.
