         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Edict on Changing Status prohibited the employment of warriors who had deserted their previous lords. Toyotomi Hideyoshi clearly drew a line between villager and warrior status; one which he brutally enforced. Toyotomi Hideyoshi made this law so that people in the lower class (e.g. Merchants and farmers) couldn't gain power.</div>]]></description>
