The religion was carried to Taiwan around 400 years ago by the Han Chinese settlers. Buddhists think all the lives are the same. My image shows the Hakka sticky rice cake. I think it is the most special food in traditional Taiwan culture. First, we will put sticky rices in to a wooden bucket. Then, we will use a huge wooden stick to let it turn into a kind of sticky liquid. Finally, we will use chopsticks or hands to make them into different shapes and put peanut powder on the sticky rice cakes. It’s important to Taiwan’s traditional culture because Hakka is a ethnic that live in Taiwan before the Chinese came. This dessert is from the Hakka culture. I know this dish because my relatives are the Hakkas. They’ll made this dish by themselves and share to their families and neighbors. To me, it symbolized my sweet childhood because I love sticky rice cakes since I was 4 years old
