This book is about a kid named Miles who was bit by a spider at his bad uncles house and turned into spider-man. He was struggling to be spider-man and was thinking that his power were leaving him and that it was better if they did because he couldn't handle still being spider-man.

I give this book a 3 out of 5 because the beginning is slow and it was hard for me to get passed the first 5 chapters but after that everything is fine.

I would recommend this book to anyone that likes super movies because this is basically a movie in words in a book.

When Rev and Emma cross paths, their feelings for each other are there, but they have trouble letting others know when they need help.
Rate: I would give this book a 3.5. The plot was good, but what I didn't really like was Emma's attitude. She seemed like a selfish character who didn't like getting help, but also complained about no one supporting her. She is smart, so the whole "Ethan is such an amazing online friend" thing was weird. She should have been able to see through that, because the author presented her as a smart character. Emma's issues were more relatable than Rev's, but her attitude was not.
Recommendation: I would not really recommend this book to people who want to be able to relate to the character.

She soon finds herself surrounded by riches, betrayal, and powers that she never knew she was capable of.
- I would rate this book a 2/5. Honestly, there is very little plot change/development throughout the novel, everything sort of happens during the last 3 chapters. Most of the characters are poorly introduced and don't move the storyline forward. Not even the main character went through any major/important character change. The plot got quite difficult to follow along after a while, however, the short lived twist at the end was enjoyable. There was also a love triangle that was introduced, but it was also poorly conveyed and did not really add to the plot.
-I would recommend this book to a friend ONLY if they enjoy slow paced books with little to no plot. Definitely not for anyone with a short attention span. I personally did not want to keep reading, and I am assuming they would not either.

Loyalties are tested and vengeance could be served.

I would give this a 3. Don't get me wrong, this is a great book. It has a great concept of time travel but it isn't heavily focused on. The system of time travel isn't expanded enough to the point where the reader will understand. It also is quite confusing at the beginning. The book has a very poetic and unique writing style. It's very hard to read at some points, especially in the letters since the POV switches depending on if it is a letter or actual events. I liked the concept of the letters telling parts of the story but the plot itself was very basic and unexpanded, 2 agencies that are battling against each others sides in a time war where no clear winner is held. Yea, not so interesting that i would spend hours reading it(Trust me i didn't). It also gives very little context as to how they got there, if any at all, there's not much development for the plot. There is a sort of plot twist at the very end which is VERY predictable. Overall, i do think it's a good book if you like sapphic (wlw) romances. It's just that it's not the greatest if you don't like poetic writings.
TLDR; Not the best with plot and exposition, kind of generic with a poetic twist. (Not the twist at the end)

I wouldn't recommend this book to a person who isn't into poetic writings because it will definitely be very confusing for them. When she's called to the Council of Guardians, she's surprised to find they have an important job for her to undertake.
Rating-3/5 the book gets repetitive and is boring in the middle.
Recommendation- No because the book is boring and there isn't really any action.

The plot twists where surprising, the way they are supposed to be but the starting of the story is slow, at least for me. But, if you haven't read the 1rst book, you will still understand it, it's a series if you haven't understood that yet.. I would strongly recommend this book to a friend tho.

Yes, I would, in fact, I am going to force 1 of my friend to read the whole series.

Markus Zusak

This story takes place during WWII in Germany, following a foster girl living outside of Munich named Liesel Meminger narrated by Death. Her foster parents hide a Jew named Max Vandenburg in their basement (during which Liesel discovers her love of books -- mostly stolen) who is forced to leave once Hans Hubermann (Liesel's foster father) is caught feeding captured Jews. This book is hard to summarize as there are many subplots.

I'd give this book somewhere between 4-5. The overall book is really captivating and makes the reader want to read the whole book in one sitting. However, some parts in the story are forgettable and there are a few extra insignificant events that occur (but not enough to negatively impact the main storyline).

I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Victoria Aveyard

Mare Burrow lives in a world where Silvers and Reds are divided by blood and power. Mare lives as a Red her whole life until an accident happens and she finds that she has powers that only Silvers had until then. Now Mare is in between Silver and Red, and she must adapt to her life while dealing with the dangerous life she is given.

On a scale of 1-5, I would score this book as a 1.5 because the subplots are confusing and bad and I could guess the entire plot correctly after reading about half of it. The main character is difficult to feel sorry for because she doesn't learn from her actions, she makes a lot of questionable decisions, and she just listens to everything a different main side character says. The only thing that saves it is the fact that the concept of the blood is interesting and full of potential, but it is kind of ruined by the fact that it is turned into a really generic trope of "the main character is special and now she is in danger and here have a random love triangle that doesn't really affect the plot". I don't really like any of the characters either because I think they are kind of dry, but that is just my opinion. The ending was supposed to be a plot twist, but it wasn't even surprising for me because I could see the plot twisting from a mile away.

the author is Jason Reynolds

Miles is an exceedingly bright kid on scholarship to a pricey prep school. But his spider-sense is jacking up his opportunity. It keeps going off in history, and Miles can only make up so many bathroom excuses before he gets in trouble and is suspended. Just being “Miles,” though, isn’t as easy as it sounds. He has horrifying nightmares. He feels tremendous guilt about his uncle Aaron. There’s a cousin in juvenile he never knew existed. There’s a girl he likes, but he keeps blowing his chances to let her know. Just being Miles is a lot more intense than he thought it would be.

On a scale of 1/5 i would give it a 3. the reason i give it that score is because it takes a while until the book gets good in my opinion.
i would recommend it to my friend that likes to read because it is a long book and like i said it it takes a lot of time to get good.

One day, an odd spell causes things to go strangely in their lives, making everything even more complicated.
I rate my book a 3/5 because the storyline is a little complicated and the language is very hard to understand.
Although I liked the book a little bit, I wouldn't recommend it to a friend. It had me very confused for days on end and I had to try really hard to understand what was happening.

When town lawyer Atticus is faced with his biggest, most controversial case yet, his morals are put to the test.

I would score this book a 4 as the theme was very prominent and it really brought current and past prejudices to light. The beginning of the book was quite confusing however, and the book contains some mature themes.

I would not recommend this book to a friend as it is difficult to comprehend and takes a lot of energy to read. It is definitely not one of those books that you "can't put down."

Disclaimer: This is my very poor opinion. Take everything with a small grain of salt.

A Wrinkle in Time is a Newbery Award-winning novel by Madeleine L'Engle. The science fiction book shares the story of Margaret "Meg" Murry with her brother and classmate on a journey through space and time to find her missing father.

For me personally, this book is a 3/5 because of its cliche main character and underdeveloped plot. If the author had taken time to create more ways for the reader to analyze the fictional setting they were in, it would feel smoother and more full.

I would not recommend it to any of my friends because they are less of readers than me (I don't read much) and would likely have trouble making sense of its strange concepts. Avid readers would totally find this boring and would dislike it, 3rd-5th graders would probably fit the book best.
