         <description><![CDATA[<p>Disguised as a mortal family friend named Mentes or Mentor. In this form, Athena advises Telemachus to call assembly with the suitors and search for news of his lost father.  This shows how the gods interacted with mortals in Greek Culture. While visting Athena is treated to the finest of foods which portrays how Greeks treated guests. But upon hearing Mentor's and Telemachus's plan the suitors do not respond well and forbid him from going. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>As the suitors did not approve of Telemachus' journey, Athena made them sleep as she spread word around town that Telemachus was looking for  a crew. Meanwhile Telemachus is packing and does not tell anyone but his nurse, Eurycleia. Then he leaves and heads towards Pylos.</p>]]></description>

         <title>His First Stop</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Telemachus and Athena arrive at Pylos and witness a sacrifice to Poseidon. Afterwards Telemachus talks to Nestor and asks him about Odysseus. Nestor did not know what happened to Odysseus but he did tell Telemachus of Agamemnon and Menelaus.  Afterwards Nestor's son, Pisistratus, leaves Pylos with Telemachus. While visiting Pylos, Telemachus becomes more confident in his abilities. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>There Helen and Menelaus  were celebrating the marriage of their children when the greet and recognize Telemachus. While talking about Odysseus, Menelaus reveals that he discovered Odysseus's location on Calypso's island by capturing Proteus. The suitors back on Ithaca discover Telemachus's voyage and plan to ambush him and kill him. As book 4 ends, Iphthime comforts Penelope who believes both her son and husband will die. </p>]]></description>
