Pride ends in a fall while humility brings honour.

While Allah gave us honour to saved us from being the most humiliated
people in this world, we should feel blessed and honoured that we are chosen by Him. We should be humble. Always humble. Not just to people but to Allah. When you think that you are good enough, think again. You have to be humble especially to Allah because He can easily take that away from you. Our hearts can easily be swayed.

Today we may be a Muslim but tomorrow? Can we guarantee that we would still be a Muslim? That we will die as a Muslim? Every minute of our lives, we must constantly upgrade ourselves, become a better Muslim. No one is perfect. No one can vouch that he or she is the best Muslim.

Therefore, be humble (tawadhu').
Allah loves a person who gives honour to his/her deen.
