I learned about the different aide that the US was providing Ukraine. I liked this assignment because it got us thinking about the article and what makes up an article.

I think the 5ws really helped us pick out what was important in the article.

I also liked how we used those 5ws to create a paragraph about an article that we never read.

I also liked how you had us work in partners and then switch with another group.

i wish we would have had more time to discuss the details of the 5ws with our partners before switching to another group.

Today, I learned that the country of Nigeria has a strong population of Muslims in the north and a strong population of Christians in the south.

I learned how to find and pull out important information from a nonfiction article, in particular the 5Ws: Who? What? When? Where? and Why? I also learned that knowing the answers to all of these questions means having significant knowledge from the article.

Three things that I liked about your lesson were:

1. The articles you chose we very interesting and engaging.

2. I liked that you had students write paragraphs based on other groups' responses to the 5Ws to show just how important the 5ws are to summarizing an article.

3. I like the use of padlet.com, it was a more technologically advanced method to utilizing an exit ticket.

One wish: As you structured your current events lesson to use the cooperative learning method, you might have wanted to pre-assess social interaction skills and ensure positive interdependence by having each group only fill out one chart.

Today I learned about how the United States was providing money to Urkraine. The main goal my article discussed was that we should do whats best for Urkraine. Learning about the song on the five W's was really helpful and I think that the order of the 5 W's for the students is important for them to remember.

Three things I liked about your lesson were the following:
1. The article I read was really interesting and kept my attention.
2. I liked the video describing the 3 W's and I think that it would help students remember the order of them.
3. This website is very useful for a classroom setting.

I wish we discussed each article in more detail to understand the Who, What, When, Where, and Why. Great work Nicole and Christine!

Today I learned that the military in the United States has become very selective in who they accept into each branch of the military. Also, many of those who feel eligible to join are not.

Three things I liked about your lesson were:

1.The articles were easy to relate to our own lives.

2. I really enjoyed the song about the 5 W's, it was very catchy!

3. This website is awesome and easy to use.

I wish that we could have discussed the articles in more detail because I was curious to hear more of what my classmates had to say.
