There are benefits from learning from home, the flexibility they got use to won't be there. Also the school day will feel longer next year. Students have expressed they like only 3 classes per day and ending by noon. I, too, like our current model. Not shifting gears so quickly has been nice. Ultimately, I know it'll be about building relationships with the students and supporting them in their adjustment/transition to In-Person learning. I just think we need to rethink our school structures and not simply go back to "normal"....the normal wasn't exactly working for all students either. Social distancing and wearing of mask incorrectly seems to be a prolific problem and when the population increases the unsafe condition will be exacerbated. Students socialize normally outside the classroom, but do not social distance. on a consistent basis.
Inside the classroom, socialization is minimal but appropriate because they are engaged in their drawing assignments.

I had 20 dedicated Chromebooks for students attending in person. However, 6 of the Chrome books were removed to build  a computer tower somewhere else on campus. 
-Some of the Chromebooks malfunction  on the students on a daily basis and they have to be switched out for a different one.

SIMPLIFICATION / STREAMLING TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM for needs of an Art teacher, specifically for my application.
-The new technology of having a Promethean board seemed promising but has fallen short performance wise.
-The Promethean board (the computer section) has DROPPED Google Meet calls several time during class) and is EXCESSIVELY slow when supporting a few simultaneous tabs, i.e. accessing Google Classroom pages. 
*If it wasn't for the speed and performance of my existing Desktop Computer the Google Meet could not be conducted without interruptions. 
- I would highly prefer if the Promethean board was used as Monitor for my classroom desktop computer, instead of relying on a slower, poor performing Promethean P.C.
*I do the majority of  my demonstration with an overhead HD camera at my desk. 
-An Ideal solutions is for the ability  to switch between  the overhead camera (live demonstration use) and  the general field camera, so the at home students can see the teacher, not the general area of the classroom where the cameras is positioned on top of the Promethean board display.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

-I do like the format of students submitting every assignment to Google Classroom. 
-However, the amount of additional work to provide all of the content on Google Classroom is extremely time consuming.  I do find comfort that some of the lessons I have constructed for this year maybe used again next year or provide a framework to build of of.
