Example One
- I would use this before going into a story or piece of literature that is unfamiliar to the class. We would review unknown vocabulary words together. Then when they read the story they are not stuck on unknown vocabulary and can focus on content.
Example Two
- This would be beneficial to use to teach strategies for bigger words. It shows the students how to "attack" the word and to see if they already know any part of the word. The teacher also has a word wall behind her of homonyms for the students to see.
Technology Example
- Educreations can be used by teachers to introduce a topic
- Educreations can be used by students to display what they learned at the end of a unit
