A more naturally emotive child may be more prone to being open to spiritual ideas. 

Where as a child who is more logical naturally may have a hard time "proving" the hypothesis's of the existence of God.

Overall: I think environment definitely plays more of a role in religious development---our brains are plastic, and Christ made the Gospel in a way for people to learn regardless of genetic makeup/who you are---it's for all!
