I was answering her email asking what she should do next to help make progress on a report we have to produce together. She suggested I could call her and we could talk it through but I only had a few minutes before I had to leave my office and walk to Storer Hall so I chose to email her back. I can control how long I spend on an email and I don't have to devote time to her response. Not right now anyway. My email was really just a list of things for her to do with hyperlinks to the materials she might need to do those tasks. I signed the email--off to class (YAY!), -- to remind her that I wouldn't be available until at least 4:30 when class is over and I've wondered back to my building. 

Some of the other options I have didn't seem appropriate--I didn't want to call (because that always takes longer than I thought), I didn't want to slack message here because I knew I'd be in the classroom soon and wouldn't be checking that instant messaging system. So email was the only realistic option. My purpose, like I mentioned before, was just to free my mind and work towards improving my mental health. I feel relieved and stress-free after journaling. I felt like I did indeed achieve my purpose by writing how I felt and working on myself. I know I achieved in this because of the way I felt afterwards.
