Rose has put her life on pause for Troy and her children. Unlike Troy, Rose didn't wander off when things started to feel off. Even if she wanted follow her wants or dreams she stayed with her family, trying her best to be a good wife/mother. It is a cultural and societal expectation for wives to stick with their husbands no matter what. Women are suppose to be selfless humans who will willy give up everything for their families. Rose has done everything her cultural and society expected of her without truly complaining. But at this point of the play Rose is tired of being the selfless wife.
