To include all the children in all aspects of the daily program, including learning and play activities.</p><p>This regulation is important because all the children needs to be included at all daycares. No one to feel left out.          <description><![CDATA[<p>regulation 22: Daily Physical Activity</p><p>-to promote physical fitness</p><p>-to establish daily physical activity as a routine part of a healthy lifestyle</p><p>Why and what?</p><p>The daily program shall include at least 30 minutes of physical activity that promotes physical fitness.</p><p>Outdoor play is important in daycares.  Children get to spend time outside for their well-being and to receive free space rather than keeping them inside.  They can feel refreshed in their minds and bodies after playing outdoors.</p><p>-have 2-3 classes go play outside and form a big circle to play some games</p><p>-teach them outdoor activities such as baseball</p><p>-get them to connect to nature like the nuna, snow or sand to play sensory based play.</p><p>Deanna</p>]]></description>

         <title>Regulation 25- Regular communication with Parents.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>to ensure regular parents communications regarding children’s well-being and their participations in the early childhood program.</p><p><br/></p><p>It is important to communicate with parents about how the child is doing at home, did they sleep good? Did they eat before coming here? And communicate when they get picked up. Tell them how the day went at the daycare with them. As a parent you can even asked to see log book about how your child is doing at daycare.</p><p><br/></p><ul><li><p>invite parents for a play day at daycare,( could be on a weekend) and have teal and snacks.          <title>Staff to Child Ratios and Group sizes in a Centre</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Regulation # 19-3</p><p>57-1: Every operator shall provide for the minimum staff to child ratio, maximum group size and maximum number of children in a room as set out in the schedule </p><p>57-2: The maximin group size and the maximum number of children allowed in a room referred to in the schedule does not apply when children are having meals, taking naps or taking part in special activities. </p><p>57-32: Volunteers may be included in the minimum staffs to child ratio referred to in the Schedule upon approval of the Director.</p><p><br></p><p>Why: To ensure that there are enough staff to provide adequate care, instruction and supervision for all children at all times. To ensure that there are enough staff to quickly evacuate the facility or handle any other emergency. To set a military on the number of children, that can be present in a room when it’s operating. </p><p><br></p><p>What it means: This regulation applies only to operators of centres. The regulations include a schedule that explains the number of staff needed and the maximum group size (The schedule is at the end of the Regulations). The operator must ensure that there are enough staff on duty to meet the Staaf to child ratio and maximum group size required by the schedule. </p><p>-Jean</p>]]></description>
