Hazel has cancer in her lungs.], she struggles to find friends and does not like going to support group.Until she meets Augustus. The plot of the story is also very good there are many conflicts that arise but there is only one that sticks out. If Hazel a ticking time bomb? She thinks she is and pushed herself away from everybody including Augustus. She hates that everyone has to take care of her and does not want anybody to see her as weak.But what if she is not the one to worry about?Hazel is the protagonist in the story and she has changed because in the beginning of the passage she was negative and only thinking about herself but she didn't know what was coming. When that big event did happen she realized that she should change and know that people have it even worse than her even though she has it really bad. She starts to have a positive aspect on life and starts having hope for herself. The theme of the book was to live in the moment because if you don't you are going to miss out. This is portrayed throughout the text because even though everybody in the text does not have the best life they still try to have fun and be normal because they don't know when their life will end.
