Character Info: Commander Alex [Last Name Redacted], human, age 38. A decorated deep-space explorer, known for her calm under pressure and unwavering dedication to her crew. Recently promoted to lead the exploratory vessel The Wanderer, her current mission involves charting uncharted sectors beyond the Perseus Arm.

   You are Commander Alex, deep in uncharted space aboard The Wanderer. A faint, repeating signal just pulled you out of hypersleep. Your sensors can't identify its origin, and your comms are dead. The ship is eerily quiet. Your first instinct is to check on your crew.

You decide to proceed to the medical bay to check on the crew's stasis pods.

   You make your way to the medical bay, a sense of dread growing with each step. The stasis pods hum softly, most of them showing vital signs. But as you reach the end of the row, your blood runs cold. One pod is completely shattered, its occupant gone. A trail of viscous, black fluid leads from the shattered pod towards the main corridor. You hear a soft, slithering sound from the vents above. 

Do you:

A. Follow the trail of fluid into the corridor, armed with only your wits?

B. Barricade the medical bay and attempt to access the ship's security logs from a medical console? 

 C. Access the ship's internal comms from the medical bay to issue a general alert, even if the comms are mostly dead?

   You quickly barricade the medical bay door with a heavy supply cart, buying yourself precious moments. You scramble to the nearest medical console, your fingers flying across the holographic interface. After a few tense seconds, a distorted log appears: "Unknown bio-signature detected... rapid growth... containment breach... crew losses mounting..." The slithering from the vents grows louder, closer, right above you. A sharp crack echoes through the room as something attempts to force its way through the ventilation shaft opening. 💚 SAFE (for now).

Do you:

A. Search the medical bay for any weapons or defensive tools? 

 B. Try to reroute power from the medical bay to the main ship's power grid, hoping to reactivate more systems? 

C. Look for an emergency escape hatch or maintenance tunnel within the medical bay?

C=💛You were unable to find a hatch but decided to make one (A) 

   You quickly search the medical bay. You find a heavy, blunt trauma kit and a handful of emergency flares. Not ideal weapons, but better than nothing. The sounds from the vent intensify, the metal groaning ominously. You're armed, but the breach is imminent. 💚 SAFE (found makeshift weapons, but threat is closer).

Do you:

A. Prepare to ambush the creature as it breaches the vent, using your new tools? 

 B. Look for a weak point in the room's structure to create an escape route?

C. Try to lure the creature away from the vent opening with a loud noise?

   You scan the medical bay's schematics on the console, frantically searching for an alternate exit. Your eyes land on a rarely used maintenance hatch leading to the ship's lower conduits. It's a tight squeeze, but it might offer a way out. As you move towards it, a sickening crunch reverberates from the main door – your barricade is failing! Dust and debris shower down as the creature on the other side gains ground. You're almost at the hatch. 💚 SAFE (found a potential escape, but time is running out).

Do you:

A. Force open the maintenance hatch and squeeze through, hoping the creature can't follow?

 B. Create a loud diversion in the medical bay to draw the creature's attention away from the hatch?

C. Quickly grab a med-kit or emergency flare before entering the confined space?

   You meticulously feel along the rough conduit walls until your fingers brush against a cold, metallic panel – a service access point! You quickly pry it open, revealing a tangle of wires and an emergency power junction. With your knowledge of The Wanderer's schematics, you begin rerouting circuits, trying to bring critical systems back online. Suddenly, the lights within the conduit flicker erratically, then brighten, and you hear distant whirs and hums of ship systems awakening. The creature's enraged roars from the medical bay seem to diminish, confused by the change. You've partially restored power! 💚 SAFE (regained partial control, creature disoriented).

Do you:

A. Attempt to fully restore all ship power and environmental controls from this access point? 

B. Activate the ship's internal security system, hoping to pinpoint the creature's location?

 C. Search for a way to open a path from the conduits directly to the bridge? 

A=❤️ trying to restore all the power ended up causing a blackout and made a mass electrocution throughout the ship and your body!

C=💛You ended up in a dead end and had to go back..

   With partial power, you prioritize. You quickly access the ship's internal security system through the conduit panel. A flickering, pixelated map of The Wanderer appears. A large, red, pulsating blip is visible in the medical bay, pacing erratically. You also notice smaller, faint blips moving slowly through the vents – offspring? The creature is not alone. Knowing its location gives you a tactical advantage. 💚 SAFE (creature located, new threat identified).

Do you:

A. Seal off the medical bay and surrounding sections, attempting to trap the creatures?

 B. Look for a route through the conduits that bypasses the creature's known location and leads to the armory? 

C. Try to reroute the ship's ventilation system to pump a concentrated sedative into the medical bay?

   You move swiftly, rerouting conduit connections to engage blast doors and emergency seals around the medical bay and its adjacent corridors. With a series of heavy thuds and metallic scrapes, sections of the ship lockdown. The red blip on your map is now contained within a sealed zone. You hear furious roars and frustrated banging from the sealed area, but for now, the threat is isolated. 💚 SAFE (creature contained, but still onboard).

Do you:

A. Now that the creature is contained, make your way directly to the bridge to re-establish external communications? 

B. Use your access to the ship's systems to purge the atmosphere from the sealed medical bay? 

C. Await rescue, monitoring the containment and hoping the rescue arrives before the creatures breach again? 

A=💛 Heh, I don’t think so!!

C=💚

   You decide to wait. The ship is locked down, and the main creature is contained. You hear the distant sounds of metal groaning as the creatures in the vents attempt to breach the new blast doors. Every minute counts until rescue. You conserve energy and monitor the sensors, remaining hidden and preparing for anything. The wait is agonizing, but you're alive. 💚 SAFE (Awaiting rescue, containment holding).

The Story Concludes (For Now…) - Rescue Arrives! 

  After what feels like an eternity, the ship shudders as docking clamps engage. You hear the familiar sound of UNS breach teams entering. They find you, shaken but alive, and confirm the creature's containment. The Wanderer is lost, but you and the dormant crew are evacuated. Your quick thinking saved the mission, and countless lives. 💚 WIN!

Me and my family went to Yellowstone this summer and that was so cool 😎 we saw bison, elk, pronghorns, two black bears, two GRIZZLIES!!………and a wolf!!! Eeeek 😁 wolfs are super rare to see in Yellowstone cuz there’s like fewer than 100 of them in the park. That was for sure the highlight of the park
