The simple illustrations added to the emotional feelings of loneliness and fear, as well as the joy she feels when things turn around. <br>-I could use this book to teach about courage. </div>]]></description>

She builds a nesting box with tools from the store, but an angry bluebird doesn't seem to appreciate her help. Saddened by the rejection, Owly goes home. When a big storm comes, the bluebird's family is without shelter. Owly, worried about them heads out into the dark and stormy night. The bluebirds accept her help and end up being thankful for her kindness. Thanks to Owly, they were safe from the storm.<br>-I could use this book to teach about courage and friendship.   </div>]]></description>
