-This book is about a girl named Amy who babysits a little girl named Kendra. Little does she know that she is about to be part of a kidnapping. The bad guys want a large ransom and Amy must figure out how to send secret messages to the police through the videos the kidnappers take of them. This is a scary, but realistic story that kept me turning pages.

-This book is about a girl named Rachel, her dad calls her Ratchet, like the wrench because she's always helping him in the garage. They move a lot because they buy and fix houses. She doesn't have many friends and never has anything brand new. She finally gets a brand new notebook, which she uses as her diary. I love this book because it's in assignment- journal form and is written through the voice of the speaker!

-This fairy tale-style story stars Gilly, a rebel. Cinderella's fairy godmother casts a spell that makes it possible for her to create any kind of shoe, throwing the shoe making industry out of business. Gilly must steal to feed her family, but she gets caught and is sent to Fairytale Reform School. I like this book because it is very imaginative and has lots of detail.
