         <description><![CDATA[<div>Derek fought in the 2nd world war as part of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers regiment of the Army. He drove a tank! He gave his life on 26th Oct 1944 at the age of 21 and was laid to rest in Ryes War Cemetery in Bazenville.<br>(Mrs. Hart's great uncle)</div>]]></description>

She survived the war, married Henry Thomas Smith and had lots of children and grand-children.&nbsp;<br><br>Henry (Known as Tom) fought in the 2nd world war in the RAF.&nbsp; He survived the war and had a happy life with Audrey.<br><br>(Mrs. Hart's nanny and grandad)</div>]]></description>

         <title>Albert Marrows WWI and his son George Marrows WWII and Gertrude Marrows </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Albert was in the Lincolnshire Regiment before WWI started and then joined the Royal Flying Corps (which formed into the RAF) when WWI began.&nbsp; He was an airframe engineer and during the war served in France and Germany.&nbsp; He died 5 years after WWI ended due to the effects of being gassed during his time in Germany.&nbsp; His son George grew up without his father and joined the RAF at 16 years old.&nbsp; He became a pilot and during WWII he flew Halifax bombers with 78 Sqn.&nbsp; On the 8th June 1944 the halifax George was piloting crashed near Plessis-Pate (south of Paris) killing all crew members. Gertrude lost her husband and only child in two wars. Always remembered by all their family including great, great, nephew Jamie Clarke.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Thomas was a lancaster pilot with 49 Sqn based at RAF Fiskerton. On the 9th of June 1944 the lancaster Thomas was piloting was shot down over France killing all crew members.&nbsp; Thomas was 26 years old.&nbsp; Remembered by his family including Jamie Clarke.</div>]]></description>
