Base your answer on the following quote.

Answer: The major implications of the two sharing a room is that both Gale and Brian both made the team. Also because both football players can get to know each other better.

People are going to be very confused and angry about them both sharing a room. Mostly, because back in the day, white people didn't like the people of color.

So far, they don't get along but they stand each other for the game.
The Character traits for Gale are Kind, reserved, calm, confident.

One thing i found interesting was that most civil rights leader or activists where also white, not just colored. Another thing i found interesting is the mother of the civil rights movement was Ella Baker, she changed the lives of many colored people. I found out that Ella played a major role in the big events for the civil rights movement. Lastly, I discovered that the Montgomery Boycott was one of the largest/ most impacted boycott during the movement.

Question: What are the possible outcomes of the situation of the movement did not succeed?

What 2 examples of stage directions show the reader that Gale is struggling through his speech? P. 290 Provide TE and explain what they mean.

Answer: " He moves towards the speaker's platform, petrified. All we can see is Gale; the harsh pinpoint of the carbon arc is centered on him with no residual spillage." This example of gale struggling through his speech because he is showing through his actions that he is caught off guard and nervous to go up in front of the crowd. It does not help that the stage directions say that the light is centered on him, and him only.
"He stops. He stops because he can't think of the next word. It's gone. nothing there." These stage direction prove that Gale is struggling because it states that he loses his words in the middle of the speech. He forgets what to say in front to the huge crowd.

What inference can you make on the men's playing time based on the following stage directions- Be detailed.

Gale's uniform, muddy and begrimed; Piccolo's with only a smudge or two. Halas and Gibron pace restlessly up and down the sidelines....p. 292 left side

Answer: I can infer that Piccolo has not been in the field (more playing time) as much as gale. I say that because the way the playwright states in the stage directions that Brian's uniform barley has "a smudge or two." Brian has not had the chance to really get out in the football field like Gale. Unlike Brian, Gale has been tackling and running his heart out on the field by they mud covering his body from head to toe. In the stage directions it states "Gale's uniform, muddy and begrimed." It is stating that his uniform in covered so much that is black from all of the mud.

Based on what you know about the time period and what Brian's mother wrote him in that letter, what conclusions can you make on her upbringing and racial beliefs?

Wait till we see the movie.

Answer: I can say that Brian's mother was raised in the early 1900's or late 1800's, back when colored and white people were very hostile to each other. I believe his mother was raised to think that colored people are different since she can remember. It would be hard to change something that she has know for so long.
