An event that took place during WW2. Around 72k-78k American and Filipino prisoners of war were forced to march from Bagac and Mariveles on the Bataan Peninsula to Camp O'Donnell by the Imperial Japanese Army.

Became a symbol of Japanese brutality and a stark reminder of suffering endured by the prisoners.

Prisoners were amassed in the towns of Mariveles and Bagac. Even forced to turn over all of their possessions. All people were shaken down to ensure they had no possessions.

A surprise attack enforced by the Japanese on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. Began at 7:55 a.m. and lasted 2 hours. Hundreds of aircraft, sinking of ships, and over 2,400 deaths from the attack.

Many people lost their lives due to this surprise attack that nobody suspected at all.

This attack led the U.S. to declare war against Japan.
